This 16" Block Work Needlepoint cushion / pillow Kit is sewn using a simple diagonal stitch of varying lengths to make hundreds of colourful triangles and is inspired by traditional quilt blocks that have been used for generations. PLEASE NOTE THE CANVAS IS NOT PRINTED. Hopefully beginners and more advanced stitchers can enjoy it’s simplicity. It is also nice and quick to work up. I would say it's proper thread therapy. I hope you agree that this block work Pillow / Cushion is a really pretty item. It’s such fun to do and it’s lovely to end up with something really useful too. Also, it might be a great gift for any friends or family. All the necessary wool and materials are included along with detailed colour instructions. When finished it measures approximately 16”x16” (41cm x 41cm). All you need to find at home to complete the project are some scissors and a 16” cushion pad - then you're good to go!  The Appletons wool included in all my kits is British from sheep to needle – it comes from the Yorkshire wool markets and is also dyed and spun in Yorkshire. Appletons prides itself on the quality and consistency of the wool it produces. It was founded in 1835 by Thomas Appleton and has a long history that includes being used by the famous 19th century designer William Morris. Contents . . . .all in a pretty organza bag so you can keep your wools safely throughout the project . .Also packed in a sturdy postal box to keep all the materials in tip top condition throughout the delivery journey. A 50cm square of 14 count Zweigart luxury mono tapestry canvas, a 48cm square of Cotswold velvet fabric (mustard), plenty of Appletons tapestry wool of colours shown in photos (buttermilk, red, green, blue, orange, mustard and pink, a size 18 tapestry needle, 12 pins, a sewing needle and matching cotton thread to finish, detailed instructions with colour photos and colour charts to guide you.
