Tapestry 16" Cushion Kit: My Colour Squares with Appletons Wool & Velvet backing

This 16" My Colour Cushion Tapestry Kit from PippinKits is made using a simple diagonal stitch of varying lengths to make hundreds of colourful squares. Hopefully beginners and more advanced stitchers can enjoy its simplicity. It is also nice and quick to work up. I have especially loved designing this project because of the freedom it allows when making colour choices. You can therefore indulge your individual creativity to produce a truly unique cushion. I would say it's proper thread therapy.

All the necessary wool and materials are included along with detailed colour instructions. Please not the canvas is not printed. When finished it measures approximately 16.5”x16.5” (42cm x 42cm).  All you need to find at home to complete the project are some scissors and a 16” cushion pad - then you're good to go! 

The Appletons wool included in all my kits is British from sheep to needle – it comes from the Yorkshire wool markets and is also dyed and spun in Yorkshire. Appletons prides itself on the quality and consistency of the wool it produces. It was founded in 1835 by Thomas Appleton and has a long history that includes being used by the famous 19th century designer William Morris.

A 50cm square of 12 count Zweigart luxury mono tapestry canvas, a 48cm square of Cotswold velvet fabric (grape colour), 36 skeins of Appletons tapestry wool of different colours, a size 18 tapestry needle, 12 pins, a sewing needle and matching cotton thread to finish, detailed instructions with colour photos and colour charts to guide you.
